This article examines the leadership strategies of Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA) the second Caliph of Islam as a model of ethical governance. His tenure as a ruler is marked by justice, transparency, accountability and a people-centered approach to governance. By reflecting on his leadership principles the study highlights how his ethical framework offers timeless lessons for modern leadership, emphasizing the importance of moral integrity, social welfare, inclusivity and visionary planning. This article explores the practical application of his strategies in addressing contemporary challenges offering insights for leaders striving to balance ethical principles with effective governance in diverse settings.
